‘The most natural thing in the world’ they said. ‘The baby just crawls up your chest and latches on’ they said. Well, it’s not all that simple and every baby, birth and situation is different. For us, there is no ‘should’ and a fed baby is the most important thing. We do though think getting the right support with breastfeeding is crucial to success. 

It can be painful, frustrating, make your toes curl and your eyes water BUT if someone experienced is by your side, helping you get that latch right, helping you to understand when baby is hungry, how to increase your milk supply and trouble shoot any problems, it can be the most amazing experience for you and baby.
