Hospital bag and baby essentials

The Kit List
There’s so much shiny baby kit, just like the copious
amounts of advice…almost makes it too difficult to choose
and to know what is must-have and what really isn’t
essential for you and for baby.
A couple of things we’d suggest is speaking to friends
about any baby gear they may have that they are no longer
using and also look second hand kit, particularly when it
comes to buggy, chair, bouncer. The next crucial bit is
setting a budget as it’s easy to spend a little more than
planned.
There are a few other good to knows such as you get free
prescriptions until your baby is 12 month. You’ll just need
to complete an FW8 form. Also your dental treatment is
free whilst pregnant and in the first year after birth
We’ve compiled a very complete list based on some
research we carried out around the amount of use,
functionality and sustainability of each item, but by no
means is everything on this list essential. After all, small
babies don’t need much
It’s handy to have your bag packed by around 37 weeks,
which is when baby is full term
There are a few great organisations out there if you cant
afford baby equipment. Little village help others in need so
if you can please do donate when you no longer need your
baby kit.
The list that follows is as exhaustive as can be so please dontt feel that everything on the list is essential!
